February 3: Arlington, VA: Bill Evans hosts a banjo workshop featuring Bill Emerson, Kingstowne Acoustic Music, 5830 Kingstowne Center, #110, 7 to 9:30 p.m,.$50. "Getting a Great Sound and Exploring Emerson Style Banjo" is designed for all level students but is recommended for those with one or more years of playing experience. February 9: Berkeley, CA: The last session of the winter quarter of Ran Bush and Bill's Intro to Bluegrass Jamming Class at the new Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse, 2020 Addison Street, 7:30 to 9:15 p.m. This class is designed for players on all instruments and singers who want to learn how to make great music with others - and have fun doing it! The emphasis is on fun and good times but you'll learn a lot in the process.
