May 11: Berkeley, CA: Bill appears with Kathy Kallick and Friends for her 19th Annual Mother's Day celebration, Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse, 1111 Addison Street, doors open 12:30 p.m., show time 1 p.m. Admission is $7.50 kids, $9.50 adults. More info at 510-548-1761.

May 15: Lexington, MA, Banjo Extravaganza Concert, National Heritage Museum, 33 Marrett Road, 02421, doors open at 7 p.m., concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

May 16-18: Groton, MA, Banjo Camp North, a great three day bluegrass and old-time camp in New England. One of my favorite camps of all time!

May 27 : Berkeley, CA: Bill returns to co-teach the final spring session with Ran Bush at the new directed slow jam class at the Fifth String music store, 3051 Adeline Street, 7:30 to 9 p.m. This class is designed for players with little to no experience playing with others in bluegrass and old-time jams. June 6-8: Olivet, MI: Midwest Banjo Camp, Olivet College Campus with Bob Carlin, Pat Cloud, Cathy Fink, Bill Keith and others TBA.

June 9-11: Grass Valley, CA: The Califorina Bluegrass Association Music Camp.

June 12: Grass Valley, CA: Bill performs with other camp teachers on the main stage at the California Bluegrass Association's Father's Day Bluegrass Festival. Set time will be mid- to late afternoon. Nevada County Fairgrounds.

June 13: Grass Valley, CA: Bill Evans & Megan Lynch perform at the California Bluegrass Association's Father's Day Bluegrass Festival on Vern's Stage at 5:20 p.m. Nevada County Fairgrounds.

June 18-19: Weiser, ID: Bill teaches two bluegrass banjo workshops and performs with Megan Lynch at the National Oldtime Fiddler's Contest and Festival.

June 21: Berkeley, CA: Jody Stecher and Bill Evans present The Secret Life of Banjos, Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse, 1111 Addison Street, doors open 7:30 p.m., show time 8 p.m. Info at 510-548-1761.

July 20-25: Levelland, TX: Camp Bluegrass with Alan Munde, Steve Smith and many others, South Plains College.

July 27-Aug 1: Cumberland Furnace, TN: NashCamp Bluegrass Week at the Drouillard House. A great instructional camp with Missy Raines, Jim Hurst and other great teachers. Registration opens on January 2, 2008.

August 16: Reno, NV area: Rustler's Moon with Kathy Kallick and Bill Evans, Bower's Mansion Bluegrass Festival, sponsored by the Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association. Workshops and sets to be scheduled.

August 17-22: Sorrento, British Columbia, Canada: British Columbia Bluegrass Workshop with Megan Lynch, Scott Nygaard and others.

August 23: Sorrento, British Columbia, Canada: Sorrento Bluegrass Festival.

August 29-30: Cascade/Round Valley, ID: Idaho Sawtooth Bluegrass Association Annual Fall Festival, Kling Ranch. "Picking It Solid" banjo workshop on Friday, "Backup Essentials" workshop on Saturday. $50 for each session. September 12-13: Flagstaff, AZ: Pickin' In The Pines Bluegrass Festival, Pine Mountain Amphitheater, Coconino County Fairgrounds, performing as a special guest with Steve Smith and Hard Road.

September 14: Silver City, NM: Silver City Folk Festival, performing as a special guest with Steve Smith and Hard Road. Details TBA.

September 16: Chico, CA: Bill Evans and Megan Lynch open for IIIrd Tyme Out at the Sierra Nevada Brewery's Big Room, 1075 East 20th Street, doors open at 6 p.m. show begins at 7:30 p.m.

October 4-5: San Francisco, CA: Bill Evans String Summit (Bill, Megan Lynch, Scott Nygaard, Steve Smith, Bill Amatneek and others), Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Golden Gate Park. Set time TBA.

October 17-19: Cumberland Furnace, TN: NashCamp Sonny Osborne Banjo Retreat, location TBA. Staff includes Alan Munde, Ned Luberecki, Kristin Scott Benson, Frank Neat, Sonny Osborne and Bill Evans with special guests TBA. Join us for our 8th year! Registration opens on January 2, 2008.

November 7: Springfield, IL: Bill teaches an all day banjo workshop as part of the Greater Downstate Indoor Bluegrass Festival, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Capital View Room, 12th floor, 3000 South Dirkson Parkway, 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. $120 for 5 1/2 hours of instruction includes food voucher! Designed for banjo players with one or more years of playing experience, this session will cover Scruggs, melodic and single-string styles, back-up, instrument set up and much more!
